Once a month a crew of young photographers meets in a professional studio or out in the field. Kids don't sit at desks memorising what ISO is – they learn through play, right while shooting, and between lessons they get feedback on their photos.

We engage kids with interesting themes and bring game elements into shooting. Together they solve "problems" and pick up knowledge along the way. They look forward not just to the action but to their friends too – we put emphasis on teamwork and communication.
2.5 hours of shooting on a given theme – in the studio, in the streets of Prague, by the water in Troja.
Everyone uploads their best shots to their own folder on shared storage.
A group review of the photos via Google Meet. Feedback is what moves kids forward the most.
A small photo challenge to bring to the next meeting.

Besides the regular lecturers, guests regularly come to the club – photographers and practitioners who make a living from photography. They usually specialise in one field, such as portraits or reportage, and during the lesson they show the kids how they work in it: what they look at, how they prepare and what makes a good photo in their particular craft.
So kids gain experience straight from professionals – people who shoot every day. Over the year they try out several fields of photography and find out what they enjoy most.
For portrait or fashion shoots, models also come to the club, so the kids shoot just like at a real photo shoot. And anyone brave enough can switch roles and see what it's like to stand on the other side of the lens.
Photo club membership doesn't end with the lesson. Young photographers can use the studio and our courses outside the club too.
Want to try your own shoot with studio lights? Club members can rent the whole professional studio for CZK 120 an hour – it normally costs CZK 790. Studio lights, backdrops and props are available, so you can shoot portraits of friends, a school project or your first portfolio. Just book a time in advance.
On all workshops from our workshop. Ideal when portraits, light or creative photography catch you and you want to go deeper. Workshops are led by working photographers and you'll meet enthusiasts of all ages – a great chance to learn something extra and get inspired.
On all online video courses – you can learn at home between lessons too, at your own pace and as many times as you like. Great for revising what we covered at the club, or when you want to start something new before the others. The videos are always at hand, even on your phone.
Choosing your first camera or a new lens? We'll tell you what's really worth it and what's unnecessary, so you don't waste money. We'll also advise on second-hand gear and which accessories make sense to start with – and you can try it in your hands at our place first.
The club is led by working photographers who have worked with kids for a long time and know every participant by name. Guests come regularly too – photographers who show their field up close.

The year-round club meets every 3rd Thursday of the month from September to June (10 lessons), the half-year club every 3rd Wednesday from January to May (5 lessons) – always from 16:00 to 18:30. With few exceptions at Ateliér v továrně, Mezi Vodami 1955/19, Prague 12 – Modřany.
Definitely. We plan lessons so that each one stands on its own – one time it's portraits in the studio, another time Prague's streets or light and shadow. Lessons don't build on previous ones, so there's no need to be there from September. A newcomer catches on right away and the others are happy to help.
Yes. We teach through play and practice, so even a complete beginner can join. Advanced kids get more demanding tasks.
Ideally yes – a camera with manual mode is enough. If your child doesn't have one, we're happy to lend one, but we only have a few. Please let us know in advance.
You'll find the cancellation terms in our terms and conditions.
Click "Sign up for the club", choose the year-round or half-year option, fill in your child's details and pay online. The confirmation and further information will arrive by e-mail.
